Clothes with motifs Aircraft Sokol
Production of this three-seat sport, trainer and touring aircraft began in 1946. The designer Zdeněk Rublič worked on the plans of the aircraft in secret during the war. 287 units were produced, half of which were exported. The production was terminated in 1950 due to the decision of the already centrally controlled economy. Several promotional flights were made between 1947 and 1949. For example, the longest ones: From Prague to Cape Town, South Africa. Of the two machines, only one returned when the other crashed in Nairobi, where it struck a power line. The crew escaped with only minor injuries. The aircraft was destroyed and much of Africa was without power. The stage flight lasted two months and the Falcon flew 33,000 km without a single malfunction. Another promotional flight was made in 1949 by Swiss pilots from Zurich to Melbourne, Australia. You can see a real example in the Točná Airport Museum in Prague.
